Retired Georgia Power exec dies

GAINESVILLE - Retired Georgia Power executive and Gainesville civic leader Miller Watkins, Jr. has died.

Watkins was the Northeast Georgia District Manager for the utility for 23 years. He also was a past president of the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce and the Rotary Club of Gainesville. In addition, he was an original board member for Lanier Park Hospital.

Miller Watkins was 73-years-old.
