Boys basketball: Tigers fall in Battle of the States tourney

HIAWASSEE -- Tyler Dominy scored 22 points for Dawson County but it wasn't enough to help the Tigers beat Southside (Ala.) Wednesday in the Battle of the States at Towns County High.

The Tigers fell to Southside 53-48 to snap their seven-game win streak.

Dawson County (11-2) will play Polk (Tenn.) for third place Thursday.
