GAINESVILLE - There's no word yet on whether or not any charges will be filed in the deadly accident Thursday on Thompson Bridge Road in Gainesville.

Cpl. Curtis Bradshaw with the Georgia State Patrol said 67-year-old Roselinde Hickman was traveling south on Thompson Bridge Road when she attempted to make a left hand turn into the Kroger parking lot, colliding with a motorcycle that was traveling north on Thompson Bridge Road.

Bradshaw said both people on the motorcycle were transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center, where 36-year-old John Rogers was pronounced dead a short time later.

He said the other passenger on the motorcycle, 39-year-old Lisa Matteen of Lawrenceville, was listed in serious condition.

The wreck occurred just before 2 p.m.

The northbound lanes of Thompson Bridge Road were shut down for roughly an hour and a half following the accident.
