Boys basketball: Spartans start strong, whip N. Forsyth

CUMMING -- West Hall held North Forsyth to just 15 first half points and then held on for a 55-44 win Tuesday night in boys basketball action.

The Spartans (4-4) led 18-9 after the first quarter and then outscored the Raiders 13-6 in the second quarter for a 31-15 halftime lead. West Hall would take a 45-31 lead into the fourth quarter.

A.J. Stephens and Hunter Atkinson each scored 13 points to lead West Hall, which has won two straight and three of its last five games after a 1-2 start. Corey Burnett added 10 points for the Spartans.
