Boys basketball: Big third quarter propels North Hall

MURRAYVILLE -- North Hall used a 22-10 third quarter to blow open a close game and then cruised to a 61-45 win over Pickens Tuesday night.

The Trojans (6-1) led just 23-19 at halftime but pulled away in the third quarter and then held on to the big lead during the fourth quarter.

It was the fourth straight win for the Trojans.

Imani Cross paced North Hall with 16 points. Ethan Smith added 14 points and Preston Smith and Griffin Olson each scored 13 points for the Trojans.

Wesley Easterwood led Pickens (3-5) with 11 points.
