Girls basketball: Lakeview rallies to beat Lumpkin County

DAHLONEGA -- The Lakeview Academy girls rallied from an early nine-point deficit to beat Lumpkin County 40-34 Tuesday night.

Lakeview (5-5) tralied 14-5 after the first quarter but chipped away at the lead before pulling away in the fourth quarter.

Kelsey Gilbert led the Lady Lions with 18 points. Taylor Handte added seven for Lakeview.

Lumpkin County (3-6) was led by Morgan Wood with 15 points. Brittany McClain added eight points for the Lady Indians.
