Gainesville couple nabbed for selling prescription drugs

GAINESVILLE - Two Gainesville residents are facing charges after being arrested for possessing a number of prescriptions medications with the intent to distribute.

Scott Ware with the Hall County Sheriff's Office said agents discovered the drugs Monday after executing a search warrant at the home of 67-year-old Marion Donald Cantrell and 54-year-old Janet Elaine Cantrell on South Enota Drive.

"We had an ongoing investigation regarding these two individuals selling prescription drugs from the residence," he said.

Ware said the arrests followed a roughly year-long investigation.
