GHS takes 8B-AAA opener against Oconee

WATKINSVILLE -- Gainesville opened Region 8B-AAA play with a solid 68-45 win over oconee County friday night on the road.<br /> <br /> Shaquan Cantrell poured in 25 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead the Elephants (3-4, 1-0 in subregion). Caleb Hayman added 13 points and five rebounds and Chase England had 11 points and five rebounds for Gaiesville. Deshaun Watson had 12 points, four rebounds, and three steals for Gainesville.<br /> <br /> Connor White had 13 points to lead Oconee County (0-4,0-1) Nick Koeppel added 12 points and Patrick McArdle chipped in 11 for the Warriors.
