Boys basketball: Lanier trips up Lumpkin

DAHLONEGA - Lanier hit 17 free throws in the fourth quarter to rally for a 71-62 win over Lumpkin County Friday night.

Lumpkin trailed 36-29 at halftime but used an 18-9 third quarter to grab a 47-45 lead.

But the Indians (2-6) could not hold on.

Kelvin Williams led Lumpkin with 13 points. Cain Almeida added nine points and Devonte Anderson eight for the Indians.

M J Bryant led Lanier with 20 points. Zac Winzurk had 14 points and Jordon Davis 13 for the Longhorns (2-4).
