North Georgia inks five softball players in early signing period

DAHLONEGA -- North Georgia College & State University head softball coach Mike Davenport has announced the signing of five players to National Letters of Intent during the NCAA's early signing period.

The five players, all from the state of Georgia include, Amanda Hawkins (Eastside HS), Brooke Herkel (Thomson HS), Meredith Heyer (Hillgrove HS), Ansley Phillips (Schley Co. HS), and Courtney Poole (Oconee Co. HS).

"We are very excited about the 2012 Class we were able to bring into our program during the early signing period," Davenport said. "Each one of these young ladies will be a tremendous asset to the Saints Softball program as well as an asset to our University as student-athletes. We look forward to the opportunity to coach this class and are excited about the impact they will have on our program."
