Community group providing assistance to Black, Cooley drive residents needing help winterizing their homes

GAINESVILLE - The Black and Cooley Drive Community Advisory Council will assist fix-income residents Saturday with Weatherization Assistance Program applications.

Qualifying households can receive assistance for energy efficient conservation minor home repairs.

Qualifying repairs include:

· Air Sealing in Attic Areas Insulation
· Caulking, Window Repair,
· Replacement of Broken Window Panes
· Dense-pack wall insulation, Door repair,
· Weather stripping and door sweeps.
· Energy conservation counseling services

All process applications must include a recent power bill, gas bill, Social Security Card and proof of income.

The council will set up shop Saturday from 9:30 - 1:30 at The Fun Zone at 996 Athens Street.
