HCSO Officer of the Year cited for ending 2 crime sprees

GAINESVILLE - The Hall County Sheriff Citizen's Academy Alumni Association
(HCSCAAA) held its Annual "Officer of the Year" Recognition Ceremony recently.

The nominees were: Deputy Jamie Compton, Jail Division; Investigator Dan Franklin, Criminal Investigations Division; Deputy Randall McElreath, Court Services Division; Sergeant Jeff Shoemaker, Administrative Services, Training
Division; and Deputy Glenn Watson, Uniform Patrol Division.

Deputy Glenn Watson was selected as the Officer of the Year and was presented a citation, framed by Frames You-Nique on Main Street, and a $600 Gift Certificate from The Foxhole Guns and Archery on Jesse Jewell Parkway.

Deputy Watson was the prime mover in stopping two different crime sprees
