Trooper says driver in fatal SC crash that killed Cumming man hit 110 mph

ANDERSON, S.C. - A South Carolina Highway Patrol trooper says a deadly three-vehicle crash on Interstate 85 in July - that killed a Forsyth County man - happened because the driver of an SUV hit speeds of more than 110 miles an hour.

The testimony came in a preliminary hearing for 41-year-old Dwayne Boulware, of Greenville, who is charged with reckless homicide. He could face up to 10 years in prison if convicted.

The white BMW sport utility vehicle that Boulware was driving hit a two-door Lincoln driven by 26-year-old Nicholas Kladitis of Cumming, who died of head injuries. He was headed home after visiting his girlfriend in North Carolina.

Boulware's BMW also hit a 1997 Dodge Dakota pickup, whose driver suffered minor injuries.
