Hwy. 52 reopens after tractor trailer overturns

DAWSONVILLE - All lanes of Highway 52 in Dawson County have been reopened after being blocked for over four hours when a tractor trailer overturned near Burt's Pumpkin Farm.

Troopers said they received the call about the overturned truck at 12:24 p.m. Highway 52 was blocked in both directions, and did not reopen until roughly 4:45 p.m. Wednesday.

A Dawson County spokeswoman said the truck was carrying frozen chicken. The Department of Agriculture was reportedly on scene to investigate.

Minor injuries were reported in connection with the accident.
