GAINESVILLE - Hundreds of Wells Fargo team members helped their communities at 33 events Saturday in the company's first-ever Community Service Super Saturday.

In Gainesville and 26 other cities, Wells Fargo Volunteers in their distinctive red T-shirts rolled up their sleeves for non-profits - while making donations totaling $110,000 as well.

In the Gainesville area alone, about 50 employees worked at two locations, including Habitat for Humanity and Eagle Ranch.

Dee Ann Whitenton is a ten year volunteer with Habitat and was coordinating numerous Wells Fargo volunteers at Habitat's newest new-home (#34) project on Lanier Springs Drive.

"People come out here and we teach them," Whitenton said after explaining to a red-shirted newcomer what floor joists were. "The homeowners have to do 300 hours of sweat equity
