GAINESVILLE - Two 14-year-old boys have been arrested in connection with a residential burglary in East Hall.

Sgt. Stephen Wilbanks of the Hall County Sheriff's Office says the arrests were made Thursday night about 7:20 by officers responding to a report of a burlgary on Autumn Leaf Way.

"...a resident left her home for approximately 30 minutes, returning to find that the house had been burglarized," Sgt. Wilbanks said. "Items stolen from the home included a laptop computer, IPod music players, electronic game components, and approximately $500 in cash."

Wilbanks said that during the course of the investigation a witness came forward, who identified two 14 year-old boys seen leaving the residence during the homeowner's absence.

"Investigators and deputies made contact with those individuals, and after conducting interviews, arrested both without incident."

All of the money and items taken in the burglary were recovered, according to Wilbanks.

Wilbanks said both lived in the neighborhood, a couple of streets from the house where the break-in occurred.
