'Work Release' inmate recaptured

GAINESVILLE - An inmate in the Hall County Work Release Program has been arrested after failing to return to the facility after a day at work.

Sgt. Stephen Wilbanks of the Hall County Sheriff's Office said Tuesday 21-year-old Michael Keith Coker of Gainesville was arrested Saturday in Dawson County, one day after a lookout was posted for him.

Coker was assigned to Work Release after he violated the terms of his probation for failing to register as a sex offender. He had originally been sentenced to serve 20 years on probation after being convicted of child molestation in 2004.
