Boys basketball: Lions rout Athens Academy

WATKINSVILLE -- Lakeview Academy held Athens Academy to just 13 second half points in taking a 50-29 road win Saturday night in Region 8-A action.

The Lions (11-10) extended an 11-7 first quarter lead to 28-16 by halftime and then cruised in the second half.

Austin Pearson led the Lions with 19 points.

Lakeview is off until traveling to Towns County on Friday.
