Victim of Nicholson fire identified

NICHOLSON - Authorities have now released the identity of the woman killed Saturday night in a house fire in Nicholson.

Carolyn Banks Collins died in the fire that broke out around 6:15 p.m. in a mobile home on Jennings Lane. The 62-year-old woman did not live in the home, but was a neighbor who had walked next door, according to the Jackson County Coroner.

Cause of the fire is still under investigation by the State Fire Marshal's Office.
