Hall County, for instance, will hold registration for kindergarten students March 29-31 at each elementary school from 8:00-:200 on the 29th and 30th and 8:00-2:00 and 4:00-7:00 on the 31st.
Enrolling kindergarteners should accompany parents for pre-registration. Also, those children not presently enrolled in Hall County Schools who will be entering first grade next fall should pre-register during this same time.
The following items are essential in the registration process:
*Children entering kindergarten must be five years of age on or before September 1, 2011 in order to be enrolled.
*Children entering first grade must be six years of age on or before September 1, 2011 in order to be enrolled.
*Parents must present the child s birth certificate for pre-registration.
*Proof of current residence (lease agreement, power bill, etc.) must be presented.
*Parents are requested to present the Certificate of Immunization (Form 3231, Rev. 3-2007) at pre-registration.
*Social security numbers are requested for all students (Parents may elect to sign a waiver if they prefer not to give the social security number).
*Also, the Certificate of Ear, Eye and Dental Examinations (Form 3300) is required upon entering school in August 2011.
A kindergarten teacher will administer a short school readiness assessment to each child as part of the enrollment process.
