LAVONIA - The search for an Elbert County man wanted for questioning in the murder of a South Carolina woman ended in Lavonia Wednesday.

Keith Antonio Rucker of Elberton had been the object of a two-state manhunt since 22-year-old Kacy Roberson of Anderson was found dead Tuesday after she failed to pick up her children from daycare.

The search in Lavonia for Rucker, also 22, began about 8:00 Wednesday morning after his car was found behind Lavonia Elementary School, which was locked-down during the search.

Rucker turned himself in about noon at Lavonia police headquarters.

The Habersham County Sheriff's Office, tracking dogs from Lee Arrendale State Prison in Alto, and the Georgia State Patrol participated in the search with Lavonia police.
