Girls basketball: Lady Falcons fall to Madison County

FLOWERY BRANCH -- The Flowery Branch girls basketball team dropped its Region 8-AAAA opener to Madison County 54-40 Friday night.
Tavia Sykes led the Lady Falcons (3-9, 0-1 in region) with 14 points.
Kayla Freeman led Madison County with 18 points.
