A federal grand jury indicted 47-year-old Sandeo Dyson Friday morning on charges of conspiracy, obstruction of justice and false statements.
Authorities said Dyson received information about crimes being committed in the area then sold the information to other criminal defendants, telling them to use the information to reduce their sentences based on their cooperation.
The charges carry a maximum prison sentence of 10 years and a fine of up to $250,000.
Dyson worked as an Army medic and as a security guard for an Atlanta strip club while stationed at Camp Frank D. Merrill in Dahlonega. He pleaded guilty to torching the competing club for $5,000.
