Victim of deer stand accident identified

GAINESVILLE - Hall County authorities have released the name of the victim from Monday's deer stand accident in South Hall County.

Sheriff's Col. Jeff Strickland said 45-year-old Brian Claxton of Flowery Branch was killed when he fell from the stand behind his house on Avalon Place.

Strickland said this is the first hunting-related fatality of the season in Hall County.
