GBI arrests Fannin Co. man on child porn charges

EPWORTH - Georgia authorities say they have arrested a 20-year-old North Georgia man after finding 52 images and movie files of child pornography in his home.
Georgia Bureau of Investigation spokesman John Bankhead said Wednesday that Chris Welch was arrested after investigators searching his Fannin County house found the images.
The investigation is part of an ongoing effort by a task force charged with cracking down on those involved in child porn trade.
The task force arrested some 164 people in 2009 and another 112 people through July of this year.
