Softball: Fullem pitches no-hitter, Buford routs Decatur

DECATUR -- Buford'S Karly Fullem was nearly perfect Thursday for the Buford softball team.

Fullem pitched a complete-game, no-hitter to lead the Lady Wolves to an 11-0 win over Decatur in Region 6-AA.

Fullem walked just one and struck out 13 in the five-inning win. Only one other batter reached base on a fourth inning error.

Offensively, the Wolves spread the wealth. Madyson Wynegar had three hits and four RBI, and scored three runs. Chelsie Thomas had two hits and Fullem also had two hits and scored one run. Kallie Case had one hits and three RBI for Buford.

The Lady Wolves scored four runs each in the second and third innings and then put the game out of reach with three runs in the fourth and fifth innings.

Buford improved to 14-4 overall and 3-0 in Region 6-AA.
