Volleyball: West Hall splits with Chestatee, Buford

GAINESVILLE -- West Hall split a pair of matches Thursday in a tri-match with Buford and host Chestatee in girls volleyball action.

The Lady Spartans knocked off Chestatee 25-19, 25-21, but then lost to Buford 25-22, 28-26 in the second game.

Laykin Herford led the Lady Spartans with four aces, one kill, and 28 assists. Offensively, Stephanie Rowland had 10 kills, three blocks and one ace. Gracie Allison added six kills and five and Nicolette Ashley had 21 digs, one kill and three aces.

West Hall is now 14-12 and will play host to Lanier and Monroe Area in Region 8-AAA matches on Tuesday.
