Lt. Scott Ware with the Hall County Multi-Agency Narcotics Squad said it is not unusual for suspects to bring drugs into the area from Atlanta.
"In this particular case, we actually arranged for the last transaction yesterday to occur in Hall County to make the arrests," said Ware. "But, yeah, they're mobile. They're not bound by just where they live."
Ware said the two were arrested at a pre-determined location on Mundy Mill Road with an amount of methamphetamine that carried a street value of just over $22,000.
Alberto Saucedo, Jr., 41, and Fidel Velazquez-Alvarado, 44, both are charged with trafficking methamphetamine and possession of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute. Ware said Velazquez-Alvarado likely will face additional charges in Atlanta.
Both suspects, who are in the country illegally, are being held without bond.
