NEW HOLLAND - One worker was treated for smoke inhalation following a fire at the Milliken plant in New Holland Monday morning.

Hall County Fire Chief David Kimbrell says the fire - which created a lot of smoke - was contained to a pile of cotton in the basement of the textile mill.

The worker who suffered smoke inhalation was treated at the scene.

Kimbrell says the fire was apparently caused by sparks from a grinder being used by a workman in the area. The building itself was not damaged, he added.

The fire occurred shortly before 11:00 a.m.
