Graves suspends campaign schedule in wake of accident

GAINESVILLE - 9th District Congressman Tom Graves has suspended his campaign schedule in the wake of a golf cart accident at a weekend fundraiser near Gainesville that left four people injured.

Graves discussed the accident and his campaign for election to a full term in Congress during an appearance on the Al Gainey Show on WDUN NEWS TALK 550 Monday morning.

Meanwhile, Georgia News Network reports investigators are still trying to figure out what caused the brakes to fail on a golf cart which was being used to shuttle people to a campaign event for Graves Friday night at Harbor Points subdivision.
