AGL seeking rate hike

ATLANTA - Atlanta Gas Light wants a three percent increase in what it charges for natural gas, according to a spokeswoman for the company.

She said this will add about three dollars to the average residential bill... and said earlier reports that the increase would amount to 14 percent were erroneous.

Two other hearings will follow Tuesday's with the PSC expected to rule on the request by November.
