TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- Alabama coach Nick Saban says safety Rod Woodson is transferring in a ``mutually agreed'' decision.

Woodson played in 12 games as a freshman, mostly on special teams. The Crimson Tide was already replacing three starters and several reserves in the secondary.

That was one of several roster issues Saban addressed on Wednesday's reporting day. The defending national champion Crimson Tide opens fall camp on Thursday.

He had no news on the biggest issue, the eligibility of defensive end Marcell Dareus. He says that investigation stemming from a trip to Miami's South Beach is in the NCAA's hands.

Saban says signees Blake Sims, a former Gainesville High standout, and Deion Belue are both waiting on eligibility clearance from the NCAA, and one of them will claim the 105th and final roster spot.
