UNDATED - An opportunity for the unemployed to change their luck: two separate job fairs are scheduled in coming weeks in North Georgia.

Mel Wages with the Georgia Department of Labor said the first is set for Aug. 4 at Dillard United Methodist Church in Rabun County. He said the other, scheduled for Aug. 19 at the Georgia Mountains Center in Gainesville, has already generated interest from employers.

"We've been recruiting for just a few weeks and we've already had 60-plus recruiters sign up for that," he said.

Appearing on WDUN's The Local Hour Wednesday, Wages said it's important for interviewees to come prepared to these events.

"You need to have your resume up to date, you need to be dressed professionally, because you have one chance to make a first impression," he said.
