Deal, Handel to face off in GOP runoff for Ga. gov

GAINESVILLE - Gainesville and Hall County took a big step toward putting one of their own in the Governor's Mansion Tuesday night.

Nathan Deal won the second Republican runoff spot in the race for governor Tuesday night in Gainesville. Deal called on supporters to back him in the runoff race against former Secretary of State Karen Handel on Aug. 10 for the Republican nomination.
