Flowery Branch Masons honor Boy Scouts

FLOWERY BRANCH - The Boy Scouts of Troop 228, Flowery Branch are likely to remember this day, July 11th 2010.

It was the day they gathered with members of Flowery Branch Masonic Lodge 212 to set the cornerstone for their new scout hut next to the Lodge on Spring Street, but by the time the event was over they witnessed a full Masonic traditional ceremony conducted by none other than the Georgiaâ
The John E. Runyon Memorial Scout Hut is the only scout facility in the state located on Masonic property
They witnessed a full Masonic traditional ceremony conducted by none other than the Georgia’s Grand Master, Leonard Buffington
Masons in full regalia enacted a cornerstone ceremony that dates back to ancient times
