ATLANTA - A new financial disclosure shows Lt. Governor Casey Cagle's campaign fundraising total eclipsed $1.5 million.

The Republican incumbent, who is running for re-election, raised more than $240,000 during the three-month period ending June 30. He still has more than $844,000 in cash on hand and faces no primary opposition.

The 44-year-old, who is from Gainesville, was elected Georgia's first GOP lieutenant governor in 2006. He faces either Carol Porter or Tricia McCracken both seeking the Democratic nomination for lieutenant governor in the July 20 primary election in November.

Porter reported raising more than $105,000 last quarter with more than $142,000 cash on hand. McCracken reported her total contributions at more than $8,700, with $4,500 cash on hand.
