ATLANTA - The ACLU in Georgia is warning Latinos here against traveling to Arizona.

The warning was sent to Hispanic communities across the state... timed to coincide with the July 4 holiday weekend and because of Arizona's tough new immigration law.

Azadeh Shahshahani with the ACLU in Georgia says Latinos in the state are being warned they face possible racial profiling and unlawful detentions in Arizona in they travel there.

Although the law is not scheduled to go into effect until July 29, the ACLU says it is concerned that some law enforcement officers are already beginning to act on provisions of the law.
