UNDATED - This is likely to be the tenth straight day of 90+ temperatures in most of Georgia but north Georgia may get a break starting Tuesday.

Although it will still be hot, a return to more seasonal temperatures is expected for the next few days.

The current hot spell, featuring temperatures 8-to-10 degrees above normal in most places, is now in its 20th day.

During that time, daytime highs have reached 90 or more on 14 days at Lee Gilmer Memorial Airport in Gainesville. The highest recorded was 95 on three days... the 14th, 15th, and 25th.
