The love/hate relationship that we have for police officers is ongoing and one for the ages. Everyone, for the most part, understands the obvious need for police officers and typically has great respect for those who enter this profession. That is, of course, until that person is sitting behind your car with blue lights flashing. It is a good thing that cops are not mind readers, or lip readers, because it would not be very beneficial to the person receiving the ticket if these thoughts were available to the person issuing the ticket. Usually, all of the muttering, swearing, and face twisting, are complete by the time the officer makes his walk to the door to ask for your autograph. Some will still fire off the parting comment, as if they were the first ones to ever do so, wanting to know why the officer is not out trying to catch a murderer and to remind the officer that they pay the officerâ
