GAINESVILLE - You've heard of "take the money and run?" How about just "eat the money?" Hall County drug agents say a suspected crack cocaine dealer tried to do just that as he was being arrested this week.

Lt. Scott Ware of the Gainesville-Hall County Multi-Agency Narcotics Squad says Dwayne Edward Brownlee, 45, Flowery Branch, was arrested at Atlanta Street Apartments after he sold crack cocaine during a drug investigation.

"As authorities attempted to arrest Mr. Brownlee," Lt. Ware said, "he tried to destroy the currency used to finance the drug transaction by attempting to eat the money."

Brownlee is charged with Sale of Cocaine, Sale of Cocaine within 1,000 feet of Government Housing, and Obstruction.
