Gwinnett County investigators responded to the scene just before 3:30 Sunday morning on Highway 316 near Drowning Creek Road. The westbound 1999 Nissan Sentra crossed into the eastbound lanes before crashing into a guard rail. The driver was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. The driver, who died on the scene, has been identified as 28 year-old Adrian Arias of Lawrenceville.
It appears that alcohol was a factor in this deadly crash and does not appear that any other vehicles or persons contributed to this accident.
