LAWRENCEVILLE -- Freddie Freeman, one of the Atlanta Braves' top prospects, hurt his right knee stretching to make a catch but an MRI shows no serious damage.
Freeman plays for the Triple-A Gwinnett Braves and is expected to eventually take over as Atlanta's first baseman. He was hurt in a game last week against Louisville.
Atlanta officials announced Wednesday that an MRI found no structural problems and listed Freeman as day to day with a strained muscle. He's hitting .261 with five homers and 24 RBIs for the G-Braves.
