Final GCC budget/tax rate public hearing Tuesday

GAINESVILLE - One more public hearing and the Gainesville City Council is expected vote on the city's new budget which calls for a quarter-mill increase in the tax rate.

All of this is expected during a council meeting Tuesday at 9:00 at the Georgia Mountains Center.

This will be the third public hearing on the budget/tax rate.

City Manager Kip Padgett unveiled the spending plan May 13 at a council work session.
