DAHLONEGA -- Can't travel to Missouri to watch North Georgia College & State University's softball team compete in the NCAA Division II National Championships on Thursday? You can watch the No. 1 Saints take on Molloy College live at 1 p.m. Eastern in the university's Memorial Hall Gym.

The public is invited to watch the game, slotted to begin at 1 p.m. live on a large projection screen.

The 50-0 Saints, making their second-straight trip to the College World Series, left early Tuesday morning from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. Media from Fox 5 and 11 Alive, two Atlanta television stations, were at the airport Tuesday morning to speak with Coach Davenport and a few players before they departed.

Hilary Cox, a sophomore member of the team from Douglasville, is chronicling the Saint's trip to the World Series through a blog, which will be updated daily. Read Cox's blog by visiting the Saints Sports Web site (www.saintssports.com) and clicking on her photo.

The team has planned a two-hour, early-morning practice Wednesday at Heritage Park in St. Joseph, Mo., and is scheduled to take part in a community service project in the afternoon.

The Molloy College team, out of Rockville Centre, N.Y., won the East Super Regional last weekend.

North Georgia advanced to the World Series by beating Lenoir-Rhyne 5-3 and 15-0 in last weekend's best-of-three Southeast Super Regional at Haines & Carolyn Hill Stadium. North Georgia hit two home runs in Friday's victory and exploded for 10 runs in the fifth inning of Saturday's shut-out victory over the Bears.

This season marks the Saint's second-straight 50-0 season and the third in the program's 14-year history. The Saints are just five wins away from equaling the NCAA record for consecutive softball wins in a season. North Georgia has been ranked No. 1 for the entire season -- 80 straight days -- since the first regular-season poll on March 3.
