Forsyth budget meetings this week

CUMMING - A series of meetings this week in Cumming is the next step in putting together a new Forsyth County budget.

County department heads will present their "wish lists" to the county finance committee during presentations scheduled Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

The sessions will be held in the Forsyth County Administration Building.

Court Administration will be up first when they begin Monday at 8:30. The rest of the day will be taken up by the Solicitor's Office, Tax Commission, Clerk of Court, Magistrate Court and District Attorney.

On Wednesday, the Sheriff's Office, Juvenile Court, Library, and Tax Assessor will present their proposed spending plans.

On Friday, Probate Court, Voter Registration, Victim's Witness and the Coroner will outline their budget needs for the coming fiscal year.
