Fuller hearing Gwinnett recall case

LAWRENCEVILLE - A judge from Hall County has been chosen to determine if a recall petition against Gwinnett County Commission Chairman Charles Bannister will be issued.

Bannister has filed a motion to stop the recall drive, saying it does not meet state standards for recalling an elected official.

Judge C. Andrew Fuller held a hearing on the matter Wednesday and agreed to give the man behind the recall, Randolph DeVault, more time to explain the basis for the recall.

The recall driver was launched about a month ago. (See earlier story.)
