DOT to discuss Ga. 400/Ga. 53 project next week

GAINESVILLE - The Georgia 400/Georgia 53 intersection in Dawson County is in for a reconstruction and the state Department of Transportation will discuss the plans in a meeting in Dawsonville next week.

The open house-type public information session will be next Thursday, April 15, from 4:00-7:00 at Kilough Elementary School.

State DOT has also revealed plans for the overnight resurfacing of a stretch of I-85 in northeast Georgia from the South Carolina line to Exit 17 in Franklin County. That project is scheduled to begin next Monday.
