This public event will be held in the north parking lot of the Riverside campus and will feature a variety of military displays, vehicles, and aircraft including two Blackhawk helicopters that will be flown in (by the Army Aviation Battalion from Dobbins Air Force base) and landing on the Riverside lacrosse field at 9:00 to kick off the celebration.
Other displays that will be set up include:
· 802nd Ordnance Battalion (Army Fire truck, Army wrecker truck)
· Army National Guard (information Table)
· Army Recruiting Station (Climbing Wall, Army Humvee, GI Johnny mascot, and information Table)
· Marine Corps Recruiting Station (Marine Humvee, pull up challenge and an information table)
· Navy Recruiting Station (information table)
· Army tanks and other WWII collectables
· RMA Raider Team (Raider Team display)
· RMA Rifle Team (Raider Team display)
· Army Aviation Battalion, Dobbins AFB (2 Blackhawk Helicopters)
· VFW Display
· American Legion Display
Youngsters will be allowed to get "up close and personal" with this equipment during the daylong event and there is no cost.
