Georgia Tech (23-9) is the No. 6 seed in the Kansas City regional and is matched against No. 11 seed Arkansas-Little Rock (26-6).
Georgia Tech had only two NCAA tournament appearances in its history before beginning its string of four straight berths with coach MaChelle Joseph.
"I am really excited because the sixth seed is the highest we have ever had in our program history," Joseph said. "We are now in unchartered waters."
Senior Brigitte Ardossi leads Georgia Tech with her average of 15.8 points per game.
The winner of the Georgia Tech-Arkansas-Little Rock game will meet the winner of No. 3 Oklahoma and No. 14 South Dakota State on Tuesday.
