GILLSVILLE- The City of Gillsville will have a special election Tuesday to fill a seat on the city council.

The election is being held to fill the Post 2 seat on the council.

There are two candidates: Jim Butler and Phil Ferguson.

The election was to have been held last November but was postponed until Tuesday after no one qualified for the race in the fall. The mayor's post and another seat on the council - currently held by Larry Poole and Roy Turpin, respectively - were also to be on the ballot but Poole and Turpin qualified without any opposition.
